The brand new body is built with multiple birch wood laminate, each laminate piece is dyed with a different color then compressed and bonded together to form one solid block of wood. Two coats of satin lacquer are then applied to provide a smooth finish and also help protect the body from any damage.

Characteristics of the SG Zoot Suit guitar include the multicolored neck of the Zoot Suit that is also constructed using multiple birch wood laminate pieces & Gibson’s legendary 496R & 500T pickups, which feature clear coil forms to see the copper wire, ceramic magnets, and plenty of wire for the screaming’ hot pickups.
